Botanica

Botanica is inspired by how plants grow from a tiny seed into something even greater.

In nature, everything grows outward from a single point.
A stem from a seed. Branches from a trunk. Petals from a bud.

The form doesn't deviate, it expands.

The side profile is where the concept is most readable.
Starting from the front, it sweeps forward through a series of steps that reference the way stems branch out:
Never straight, always purposeful.

The USB port does not break the center accent, it emerges from it.
Bevels twist the top and bottom case to reference a flower bud at the moment it breaks open.

As you view the Botanica from the front, a subtle twist in the front profile teases the third colour of the accent in the case.
Only coming into full bloom when you turn the board to its side.
A detail that rewards attention.
