Most keyboards end at the front edge the same way. A 45 degree chamfer that goes further into the case, what the community usually calls a cherry lip, or some variation on it where it tapers in and out, even me. The angle changes once, sharply, and that's the front of the board. It's a resolved solution. It works, it reads clearly, and nearly everyone uses it.

There is a version of product development where the first prototype confirms everything you hoped for. Botanica, was not that. That however, is not a complaint, and is factually the point.

Most things you own that were designed with intention: a watch, a chair, a lamp, ask one thing of you: that you notice them. That you look, You appreciate. The relationship ends there. A keyboard doesn't work that way.

Every project begins with conviction, that every surface detail is the physical residue of a decision that was reasoned, tested and defended. This is not a quality claim, it is the main principle: Nothing will be shipped until every choice can be explained with passion and pride.
